Bubble wands dumped out in the first xxx seconds? Learn how to brand your ain bubble solution…
Let me just say – I hate ownership bubble wands.
And no, I'chiliad not a grouch. I'one thousand a fairly pleasant person who loves bubbles.
Because bubbles make people happy, right?
Especially my kids!
In that location's just something magical about bubbling, am I right?
My kids honey bubble wands, simply there's usually a fumble, trip, or a tantrum that ensues as soon equally they are handed one and the solution gets dumped out all over the ground.
It makes for a very fussy afternoon!
Things go And so wrong so fast when they become dropped on the footing. My 10-yr-old even ends up dropping them after a minute or two.
I think the bubble solution makes the tubes slippery and difficult to hold onto.
The shape of the tube is the flaw in the design.
I was recently on the phone with my mom and talked about my husband Chris and I ownership the boys' bubble wands this summer merely wasn't sure WHY we kept buying them when they just have a life cycle of 30 seconds ;).
She laughed and asked why we didn't just make our own bubble solution.
Um, what?!
I honestly never thought well-nigh it, and I'm a little mad at myself most information technology, ha!
She told me the recipe (although I had to accommodate the mixture a bit because she was a niggling fuzzy on the details considering all three of her children are in their 20s and 30s), and I fabricated my own DIY chimera solution!
Everything that we needed was already in our pantry (or by the sink), so I was really happy nigh that.
The boys were thrilled!
We even used the bubble solution in their bubble auto with great success!
See the recipe below, or impress it off and go on it nearby for summer playtime outside!

Here'south what I used to make our homemade chimera solution:
- 1/2 cup of Karo syrup
- 1/ii cup of Dawn dish soap (or another concentrated soap that easily suds)
- 3 cups water
- mixing bowl
- measuring loving cup
- whisk or fork
- container to store solution in ( this is the one I used and is pretty difficult for kids to open up )
My mom originally told me to use less h2o in this recipe, but I found information technology didn't work too and made more of a pasty mess than bodily bubbles, so I adjusted it a bit.
This recipe is pretty neat because I already had everything I needed in the firm to make it!
How To Make Bubble Solution
In a medium bowl, cascade in 3 cups of water .
You can apply regular tap h2o for your chimera solution.
Add together in ane/2 cup of Dawn dish soap , and one/2 cup of Karo syrup .
Stir to combine.
Pour the finished solution into a container or bottle.
I used this glass water bottle considering it has a safe gasket (to prevent leaks) and a locking top for safety.
If not using the solution the aforementioned day, exist sure to tilt the lesser upside down and so right side up a few times to 'stir' things around before pouring in example in that location is any settling during storage.
To be honest, I've totally skipped on the wands this summer and purchased a chimera machine on Amazon for the boys to play in.
It helps relieve the solution more, and they tin more than hands karate chop or ninja kick the bubbles as they come up out.
Feel complimentary to print out the recipe below, and tag me on Instagram if you happen to make this!
